Mr. Nick Gamble enters his 11th year as the Head Coach of the Hoover Viking matmen. He previously coached at North Canton for 10 years as an assistant. Since becoming head coach, he has coached 7 state place winners,10 state qualifiers, one future NCAA Division III All American and a future Division 1 2 x NCAA Qualifier. He also coached the 1st female state placer in school history. He is a former North Canton and John Carroll Blue Streak wrestler. Coach Gamble emphasizes a family environment where all athletes are coached to succeed on and off the mat. Gamble is also a member of the HS Math Department and is also a part of the 8th grade football staff.

This will be Coach Kelly’s sixth year coaching wrestling at Hoover High School, 10th year overall. He graduated in 2010 from Manchester High School, placing 5th in 2009 and 4th in 2010 at the OHSAA State Tournament. After high school, he went on to Walsh University, where he was a member of the football team and earned his Bachelor's degree in 2014. Since then, he has been a high school math teacher, with this being his second year teaching at Hoover High School. He is married to wife, Tristin, and has 2 sons.

Coach Harris was born and raised in Beachwood, Ohio. He wrestled for Beachwood High School where he was a 2x State Champion, 4x State Placer (7,3,1,1). All-Time winningest wrestler with 188 career wins. He also wrestled for The Ohio State University and was the starting 174 at the beginning of his sophomore year before sustaining a career ending injury. Graduated with a bachelors degree in Sports Management in 2018. Went on to coach at Ashland University where he received an MBA as well. Married for 3 years to wife, Hope, and have a one year old daughter named Rory.

Current JV coach, began coaching for Hoover in 2015. Hoover graduate in 1987, a Tolarchyk era wrestler. Coach Friel placed 5th in sectionals 86, and 5th in districts in 87. He was also all county in 87 in football, wrestling, and baseball. 1987 Hoover athlete of the year. Recruited to Mount Union for wrestling. Started as a freshman, but retired from wrestling to continue football as a 3 year letterman, all conference running back leading the nation in ypc for the first 5 weeks of 1990. Married to Darcy with 4 children.
